A day at the Outback..

We start the day off with a hearty breakfast of fresh laid eggs, pancakes, and bacon. After everyone has taken care of their morning business, we will gather out front of the lodge for a quick safety talk. Next the hounds are released and we either follow them to the field or load up on the bus. We hunt all sorts of different terrain but most commonly two blockers will head to the end with the side by side and the rest of us will push the field.

Our fantastic labs do most of the work.

Often times the bag limit is reached just before we break for a delicious home cooked noon meal. If the shotgun shells weren't doing their job in the morning we regroup again in the afternoon and finish out the limit of roosters.

After the hunt, you can sit on the porch and crack open a cold one. The lodge sits on a working ranch so you can see all of the day-to-day operations that go on here.

Professional bird cleaning is located conveniently 3 miles down the road at Pete's taxidermy.

We do not provide an evening meal, but there are several restaurants in nearby towns and a full kitchen in the lodge.
